Sun Fun in Titusville
Titusville Florida is such a wonderful town. Though it is small and not a huge draw it has a huge asset. Nature thrives on the Space Coast with areas like Canaveral Wildlife Refuge and countless numbers of parks. Every single natural venue proffers a diverse cast of wildlife. But animals are not the only natural show in Titusville. In many of the great locations the sun itself puts on quite a magnificent show. The bright light plays onto the shimmering waters of the St. Johns and Banana Rivers.
One such place is Kennedy Point Park. This laid back park features a pavilion, restroom facilities and a nice shady grove of trees ready to beat back the Florida heat. Here can be found a panoramic view of the Space Center and a wonderful sunrise is in store. Another great spot is Peacock Pocket which is part of Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. The sights are many and beautiful but a word of caution; bring bug spray. This area is a veritable insect breeding ground but worth every bite. So many options and each are worthy of a good thirty minutes or so just to soak it in.
A almost constant breeze pushes its way past palm trees and shrubbery. All of which make sunsets and sunrises a not-to-miss event at NASA’s doorstep. Almost every park, nature walk, conservancy and river view offers a fantastic seat for the greatest light show you will ever see. We in Titusville are so lucky to be amongst such great wonder and many of us do not even know it!
